Academy of General Dentistry (AGD): KnowYourTeeth. Articles and facts on topics that include toothbrushing, dental caries, emergency care, fluoride, mouth guards, oral piercing, and pregnancy; a blog; an “ask-a-dentist” forum; and a newsletter. Also offers a tooth timeline for information about tooth and mouth changes and recommended care at every stage of life.

American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD): mychildrensteeth.org. Information related to child’s dental health

American Dental Association (ADA): Public Oral Health Information. News and information on a wide range of oral health topics affecting babies, children, teens, and pregnant women. Some information is available in Spanish. Includes animations, games, and stories for children about taking care of teeth and gums.

American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA): Oral Health Information. Instructions for brushing and flossing, fact sheets about premature birth and child and teen oral health, posters about tobacco use and periodontal disease, and Spanish-language materials.

California Dental Association (CDA): Patient Education Tools. Fact sheets in English, Spanish, Hmong, Chinese, Russian, and Vietnamese on topics that include dental caries, dental emergencies, dental sealants, fluoride, methamphetamine use and oral health, mouth guards, orthodontics, pregnancy, and wisdom teeth.

MouthPower Online. Information for kids and teachers in English and Spanish about oral anatomy and the effects of foods, oral hygiene habits, and cigarette and spit tobacco use on oral health.

National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center (OHRC): Bright Futures Toolbox for Children, Adolescents, and Families. Links to materials for children, teens, and parents about caring for teeth and mouths. Also links to non-English-language oral health materials for families.

Oral Health for Infants, Children, Adolescents, and Pregnant Women Knowledge Path. This knowledge path about oral health for infants, children, adolescents, and pregnant women has been compiled by the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center (OHRC) and the Maternal and Child Health Library at Georgetown University. It offers a selection of current, high-quality resources that analyze data, describe effective programs, and report on policy and research aimed at improving access to oral health care and quality of oral health for infants, children, adolescents, and pregnant women. A separate section lists resources for consumers. The final part of the knowledge path presents resources on specific aspects of oral health: child care and Head Start, dental caries, dental sealants, fluoride varnish, K–12 education, pregnancy, school-based and school-linked care, and special health care needs. This knowledge path is designed for health professionals, program administrators, educators, policymakers, and consumers, and it will be updated annually.
